How Much ZAMZAM Water Is Allowed On United Airlines Flights?

United Airlines ZAMZAM Water Carriage Policy

ZAMZAM water is considered to be holy water. It is brought from Saudi Arabia by devotees who go on pilgrimage or otherwise to the Saudi cities, particularly Mecca and Medina. Due the the importance accorded to ZAMZAM water, United Airlines allows its carriage on its flights with certain conditions.

United Airlines allows carriage of only one container of ZAMZAM water of upto 10 litres as check in baggage. This will be allowed free of charge and in addition to check in baggage allowance. These Jerkins or containers have to be well packed (seal packed) in a plastic covering in order to prevent leakage or spilled. If more than one containers is to be carried then excess baggage charges would apply.

Is ZAMZAM water allowed in cabin?

ZAMZAM water is not allowed in cabin. It can be only taken as a check-in baggage.


How Much Liquor is Allowed On United Airlines Flights?

United Airlines allows carriage of liquor on its domestic or international flights. For international flights, it requires that the passengers take due note of the Customs restrictions and laws of the destination country. United Airlines has following policy in this regard.

United Airlines Liquor Policy

  1. Alcoholic beverages of up to 24% alcohol by volume can be taken without any limit. However, these have to be taken in check in baggage or shall be bought after completing the security screening at the airport from Duty free shops. These beverages can also be taken in cabin luggage but the volume shall be less than 100ml and these have to be kept separately in plastic zip zop bag. Please note that consumption of alcohol brought from outside is not allowed on-board.
  2. Alcoholic beverages of more than 24% but less than 70% alcohol by volume can be taken up to 5 litres per customer. However, the packs must be less than 5 litres.
  3. All alcoholic beverages are required to be packed in such a manner that there is no leakage and spillage to ensure that the other bags are not damaged.

jetBlue Check-in Baggage Rules for US Military Personnel

jetBlue offers discount on its tickets and allows special baggage allowance to US military personnel and their dependents.

For Military personnel on active duty and their dependents, there is a need for presenting the military orders and DOD Common Access Card for identity verification. Each such personnel and dependent is allowed to check in 5 check in bags free of cost. Those who are travelling for leisure with or without their dependents are allowed 2 check-in bags free of cost. These provisions apply for both the domestic and international flights of JetBlue.

For passengers enrolled in JetBlue Veteran Advantage program, there is discount of 5% on ticket booking and 2 check-in baggage allowance free of cost. The military discount of 5% is also applied on base fares under the MIL (military fare choice).


JetBlue Check-in Baggage Rules for Cuba, Peru, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago

For Cuba, a passenger is allowed a check-in bag of upto 80 inches linear dimensions (203 cm length+breadth+height) and 45 kg. If weight or dimensions are more, these will not be carried. Overweight and oversized charges would apply in case weight is more than 23/32 kg and size is more than 158cms. Further, a total of max 5 check-in bags or boxes are allowed per passenger. If carrying boxes, these have to be factory sealed. This is a mandatory provision if boxed are being carried.

For Peru, passengers are allowed to take up to 2 check in bags and each of these shall not exceed 62 inches (158 cm) in linear dimensions and 32 kg in weight. Overweight baggage fee for more than 23 kg would apply.


For DR, Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago, each passenger allowed 2 check in bags only, each bag not exceeding 62 inches in sum of dimensions (158 cm) and 23 kg in weight. Oversized, overweight and more bags are not allowed on flights to/from these countries.

Cardboard boxes and TV sets are allowed only to/from Cuba. These are not allowed to/from any other international destination.
